DESCRIPTION:The “Ageing with Tech Festival 2026” will take place on June 9 and 10\, 2026\, at the KörberHaus in Hamburg-Bergedorf. The event will focus on how digital resilience can help people aged 50 and older actively shape the digital transformation. \nThe conference program will examine key societal challenges at the intersection of aging and digitalization. Topics will include strategies for addressing polarization and disinformation\, as well as ways in which digital tools can promote the engagement of older adults. The program will also explore the design of access points that strengthen digital participation and self-efficacy across generations. \nAbout this event\nThe festival kicks off on Tuesday\, June 9\, at 7:00 p.m. with the “Tech for Society Slam – Digital Resilience: A Superpower!” The slam is open to the public and can be attended independently of the conference. \nOn Wednesday\, the focus will be on contributions from practice and research\, including role models and examples of good practice. These will demonstrate the conditions necessary for older adults to contribute their digital skills and take on social responsibility. The roles of organizations\, local governments\, policymakers\, and the technology sector will also be examined. \nIn addition\, ample time is scheduled for discussion and active networking. \nTarget audience\nThe event is aimed at professionals and decision-makers from educational organisations\, local governments\, politics\, academia\, and civil society\, as well as companies and startups. It also welcomes interested older adults and a cross-generational audience. \nFurther information and registrations\nThe festival is organised by the Körber Foundation and Initiative D21. \nClick here to register for this event!

SUMMARY:EDIH Summit 2026: Strengthening the AI Innovation Ecosystem
DESCRIPTION:Europe’s AI ambition is expanding. With the AI Act in force\, the AI Continent Action Plan adopted\, and the Apply AI Strategy underway\, the policy framework is established. The key question now is whether the ecosystem is functioning effectively: whether SMEs and public administrations can access the right infrastructure\, obtain trusted guidance\, and progress from initial interest to meaningful AI adoption. This is the central question that this year’s Summit seeks to address. \nAbout the EDIH Summit 2026\nThe EDIH Summit 2026 brings together the full European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network\, EU institutions\, Member States\, AI infrastructures and innovation actors to examine how Europe’s AI ecosystem functions in practice. Sessions will explore how EDIHs connect organisations with other actors of the EU AI innovation ecosystem\, such as AI Factories\, Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) and regulatory sandboxes; how common tools and assessment frameworks support this work; and how proven approaches can be scaled across regions and sectors. \nRegister here for the Summit.
