SUMMARY:European Digital Skills Certificate Final Event - Register by 4 December 2023
DESCRIPTION:As part of the Digital Education Action Plan\, the European Commission has actively explored the development of the European Digital Skills Certificate (EDSC)\, aiming to streamline the certification and recognition of digital skills across Europe by governments\, employers\, and stakeholders. Built upon the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp)\, this framework enables individuals to self-assess their digital skills\, set learning objectives\, and remains adaptable to the dynamic digital landscape. \nIn September 2021\, a feasibility study explored potential scenarios for the EDSC. In collaboration with ALL Digital – a pan-European organization representing over 25\,000 digital competence centers\, the European Commission collected insights through the Digital Competence Certification Community of Practice (CoP) to guide the study’s focus. These insights will contribute to a comprehensive feasibility study\, aligning with the needs of the digital competence community. \nNow\, it’s time to unveil the findings from two key areas of work related to the EDSC: the Feasibility Analysis outlined in Action 9 of the Digital Education Action Plan\, and the Member States EDSC Pilot. The European Commission will present the final results during an online event on Thursday\, 7 December\, 2023\, from 10:00 to 13:00. This event is organised in the context of the European Year of Skills and all stakeholders interested in the EDSC are welcome to participate. \nTo join the webinar\, kindly complete the registration form by Monday\, 4 December at 17:00 CET. A confirmation email containing the webinar link will be sent out on 5 December. \nCheck the event agenda to find more information on the various panels. \n© European Commission
